“Restoring Workplace Health Following Evaluative and Investigative Interventions”
Workplace health is essential for many reasons, including performing high-quality work, maintaining emotional well-being, and collaborating effectively with team members. At times, work teams encounter challenges due to team dynamics or a leader who inadvertently creates obstacles or has an unwelcome style. These conditions sometimes result in a formal complaint, triggering a formal investigation, that process being embedded in the organization’s HR policy.
Harassment investigations can significantly impact work teams, whether there is a finding or not. In addition to the complainant and respondent, these processes impact those interviewed, friends, and colleagues who were not necessarily involved in the incident or investigation in any way. The complaint process can harm the team’s overall well-being for an extended period, leaving team members feeling disheartened, uninspired, and, in some cases, deeply divided. Similar dynamics might arise after a comprehensive workplace assessment and intervention. This training will explore practices that restore workplace health following investigations and other workplace interventions.
